My name is Hillary Yeboah and I am originally from Ghana, West Africa. I was raised in the United States but my parents raised me with strong African values. They made sure to instill the importance of education, grace, and respect. I believe people around the world look down on Africa since they say our governments are corrupt and our people are poor. The countries of Africa do indeed have issues, but what country around the world does not? I believe the way for people to see Africa as a land of prosperity is to visit the different countries, talk to the different people, and invest in different African businesses. Much of the media and history books paint Africa in a bad light, but if people take the second to learn about the land they will be pleasantly surprised.
